Writing means the occasional mistake. The rule here is simple: when we find something we got wrong, we fix it and log "what changed" in the open — rather than quietly editing it and pretending nothing happened. This page will grow slowly over time, and that's not a bad thing — it means we take every detail seriously.

2026-10-28Fee calculator

The result used to be worked out straight away with the "up to 20% discount" applied and was labeled "20% discount applied," so the fee it showed was lower than what someone without a referral code actually pays. It now calculates at the standard rate by default; to see the referral rebate you have to tick the box yourself, and it's estimated at the maximum 20% — the figure on Binance's page is what applies.

2026-10-28Fiat ↔ USDT converter

The local-currency rate field was labeled "your actual P2P price," yet it came prefilled with a fixed number. It now starts blank so you enter the price you actually trade at, and the USD rate field is marked as an example rate, not a live one.

2026-10-28Funding account migration

The page on the Funding account was still written around the pre-migration flow. Since 2026-09-29 Binance has been moving non-stock assets from the Funding account to the Spot account in batches, with completion expected by 2027-01. The page has been rewritten from Binance's migration notice.

2026-10-28Seed phrases and private keys

The seed-phrase page used to say a seed phrase is a private key converted into 12 or 24 words. That was wrong. Under the BIP39 standard, a seed phrase encodes random entropy plus a checksum; the phrase (with an optional passphrase) derives a seed, and the wallet derives private keys from that seed.

2026-10-28Spot maker and taker fees

The fee page used to say maker and taker rates could differ slightly. Per Binance's fee schedule, the base spot rate for regular users is 0.1% for both maker and taker, or 0.075% for both with BNB fee deduction on. Only higher VIP tiers differ. The fee schedule is what applies.

2026-10-28Verification review time

The registration guide used to say verification comes back within minutes to a few dozen minutes, which didn't match Binance's own statement. It now follows Binance's help center: submitted documents are usually reviewed within 48 hours, and special cases can take longer.

2026-10-28TRC20 withdrawal fees

The withdrawal guide and the USDT page used to call TRC20 cheap, with generally low fees, which didn't match the readings on this site. Those claims are gone. The pages now say fees move with network conditions and the withdrawal page is what applies. The network-choice page gives the 2026-10-28 reading: TRC20 1.5, ERC20 0.6, BEP20 0.01 USDT.

2026-10-24Missing withdrawals: where to find the recipient

The page on missing withdrawals used to send you straight to the To address on a block explorer. For token transfers such as USDT, the top-level To is the token contract, not the recipient; the recipient and amount are in the token transfer details. That's now fixed. We also added what to do when the explorer shows a failed transaction or can't find the TxID, and made clear that success on-chain doesn't mean the receiving platform has credited you.

2026-10-24Hacked account: order of steps

The Chinese version of the hacked-account page used to put the password change first; this English page was published after that fix and follows the corrected order. The order now starts with containment: if you can still log in, disable the account, or at least change the password right away, then remove unfamiliar devices and API keys and review account activity. If you can't log in, reset the password from [Forgot password?] on the login page and contact Binance support at the same time. Once the risk is under control, unlock the account and restore withdrawals. A disabled account still needs those device, API key and activity checks; if you can't do them yourself, ask official Binance support.
